My wife and I have a passion for seeing the people of God grow in their knowledge of the gospel and, by grace, living this gospel out intentionally in the church, in relational discipleship groups, in their immediate community, and beyond. I am a fervent believer in expository preaching. The Bible is best understood when it is preached in its historical, grammatical, and canonical context, as it relates to the redemptive-historical narrative of the Bible, then applied to the hearts and minds of the listeners. In other words, all of Scripture points to the gospel of Jesus Christ and is most appropriately preached with this focus in mind.
It has been my experience that ministry is done effectually when ministry leaders and lay leaders team up to accomplish The Great Commission to intentionally make disciples for the glory of God beginning in our own hearts and spilling over into our families, the church, and communities. I desire to be a part of a team of ministry leaders working together to grow the body of Christ through the teaching and preaching of the Word, in-depth Bible study, prayer, service, and building relationships. This gospel centered approach to ministry gives way to a passion for both local and foreign mission opportunities as the church seeks to make disciples of all nations.

The church must be saturated with the gospel of Jesus Christ in all that it does. From the nursery to the sanctuary to the living room to the coffee house; the gospel must be front and center. It should be the aim of the church to proclaim Christ in all that it does so that we may present everyone mature in Christ. This naturally way to a holistic desire to see others come to trust and grow in their faith in Jesus Christ.
My wife and I are deeply committed to see the church train and equip all church members to engage in discipleship within the church to all age groups. We are eager to be a part of a church that emphasizes intergenerational worship, discipleship, and missional living, and we want to train up our children in this atmosphere.
